Growing up visiting and living in Brooklyn throughout various points of her life Be Yonka currently resides in Brooklyn and has no intention of going elsewhere anytime soon. Writing music since age 9, this confident hip-hop artist used her skills as an outlet to get her feelings out. No one knew she was writing until she gradually started to showcase her talents throughout middle school. It wasn’t until after graduating high school when Be Yonka seriously decided to start pursuing her career as an artist. Influenced by Salt-N-Pepa, Janet Jackson, and M.I.A. Be Yonka wants to make it clear that she is more than just a rapper, she is a writer and an artist.
